about
On September 22nd, 2018 , i called 3 of my friends to fullfill a musical journey and challenge ourselves on a live improvised experimentation at Spasial. No cues, no practice and no expectation on how the result will be.
Me, Deathless/Ramz playing mostly drone and basic textured/ambient composition, live looping and effects processing with guitar, synthesizers and a space echo plus a bunch of effect pedals. A haunting and dreamy sound mixed as immediately as it start.
Dissa Kamajaya aka Jaques (of Circuit Biscuits, Fuzzy,I ,Nadin Amizah, Polyester Embassy) following with his modular synthesizer, analog synths and effect array. Composing noise, multiple waves, and percussive sound off the gears. Alyuadi (of Heals, Fuzzy,I , Deathless collaborator since 2014) strumming the psychedelic-guitar and fills the air with the wah-wah and spacy sound in a colorful playground. A true magician himself.
Fathara Rizky aka Fatzky (of Fuzzy,I) is the gate keeper, the creator of repetitive bass lines, the fundamental guardian to the tonal chaos. We can hear sometimes the big bottom bass blasting the whole room. A thunderously energy punch the sub-woofers.
Our good friend, Andrew, Dan, and Chris was also in the room to film the project. Friends and families showed up to give some support. Everyone filled the room and enjoy themselves. Some brought and drank wine, while the experimentation goes on taking more time than expected.
A meta-phisics occurence took it’s part and ruined the multi-track recording, broke the semi-digital mixer and electrical overcurrent killed some of the gear and made the space echo motor stop. (The motor all of sudden cameback working).
I thought this recording will never exist.
Spasial is located at Jalan Gudang Selatan 22 Bandung, ex-military warehouse turned art space with high ceilings, creating an amazing natural cathedral like reverberation.
